Functional Capacity Evaluations

A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a comprehensive, performance based medical evaluation of an individual’s physical abilities to safely participate in work or other major life activities.

The goals of a FCE are to document the results of functional testing, validity and effort, and determine the maximum safe capabilities of the client to allow them to return to the workforce. FCE’s are also valuable in assisting case managers and physicians with providing accurate restrictions for the patient to return to work.

We have a reputation with physicians, case managers, insurers, employers, and attorneys for timely results and thorough reports that are valid, reliable, and objective.

Types of FCEs include: General FCE, Upper/Lower Extremity FCE, Job Specific FCE, or Disability FCE. One day or Two-Day FCEs are available.
